Pecan
(Carya illinoinensis)

These pecans are from trees on my property that I grew from seed. and are not from a grafted variety. The trees produce reliably and produce large thin shelled nuts.

As with many tree seeds, these nuts require several months of cold stratification before they will germinate, and they should also be kept damp (not wet). This can be done by storing them in a refrigerator until planting them in the springtime, or they can be planted outside to stratify naturally over the cold winter months.
