These nuts are this years fresh crop, harvested from the native trees surrounding my Kansas farm. Because they come from native trees the size of the nuts vary in size and shape and you will receive a random mix of sizes.

Black walnuts need to cold stratify before they will germinate. This can be done by keeping them damp and storing them in a refrigerator for three months before planting, or by planting them in the fall where you will want them to grow so that they stratify naturally over the cold winter months.
